shipping in two boxes? Confused

I'm terribly excited myself. these are my first chicks in over 15 years. between lots of
factors, including Katrina, oil spill, moving about ten times in ten years. . .I've missed
my flock which I gave to my cousin. But we bought this house in September, and I
finally decided it was time to have hens again. I'm already attached to the little buggers
and I haven't even gotten them yet.

.... patiently waiting... or not!...

This is NOT my order and should have gone to california. . there are FIFTY TWO chicks in this box.
NONE of them are mine. the name is not mine. . . .which means the other box has TWENTY SEVEN
MORE chicks in it. WTH am I going to do with 79 chicks??

Oh my. Time to throw together another brooder!

Hopefully they will contact the person that they were supposed to go to so they're not worried.

Call the company and report it? They can't have you ship them back and I don't think they will survive a trip to Cali, so you may have extra, extra babies. Someone really, really goofed up with this order. Poor person in Cali is probably worried about what happened to their chicks.

What kind of chicks are in the box? You may be able to sell some to fellow BYC'ers or Craigslist.
