shipping in two boxes? Confused

AND you still need some white egg layers

I forgot all about the white egg layers, may we recommend, Leghorns, Barred Hollands, and Minorca, and you know, you don't have any bantams yet, everybody needs bantams... d'Anvers are really cute, and of course a couple of Silkies for broodies for when you want to hatch out your own eggs for more .... chicks.

Oh, I'm having so much fun reading this thread! I know it must be shocking to receive this many chicks in the mail, but I have to admit I would be thrilled!
I raised my chicks in what looked like a refrigerator box I got for free. I put tarp under it and kept it clean and dry with pine shavings. It was huge for them and kept well till it was time for the chickens to move outside. Maybe that would be a less costly solution for you , instead of having to spend money to build a brooder.
Have fun with your cuties! Best of luck with the 27 that are coming and please, don't forget to send us pictures!

Got MY order. . .one DOA. Looks like one of the buff orps. . . One not looking very
good. . .looks like the other buff. There are two little birds with topknots. . .I assume
these are part of my 'rare egg layer assortment'. . .and look like Polish babies. Both
of them are full of themselves. . . but one has a bit of poop on her butt, so I am going to
wash it off. I'll get some pics when I can. . .farrier just left, kids had two hour delay . .
it's just been crazy here this morning.

My son's special ed teacher is going to take some for her son, who is in 4-H. My
farrier expressed interest in some of the black australorps when I can figure out who is who.
So that will ease the numbers a little. The ones who arrived yesterday are all doing great so
far. and wow they have grown, same hatch day as the box I got today but they have GROWN
in less than 24 hours. . .mine look so tiny compared. . .. .
