Shivering Wet Duckling

I have a little chocolate runner duckling thats almost two weeks old. I filled my bath with some room temp water with a grate so if she doesnt want to swim, there is a place for her to go. But Ive noticed that every time I put her in water, she starts to shiver. I have six others that do not do this. Should I be worried? Ive tried making the water a little warmer and the same thing happens.

They need to be swimming in nice warm water they can’t regulate their body temp when they only have down.

If she is shivering, she needs to be removed from the water and toweled dry and placed where she can get heat from your heat lamp or other heat source or move away from it if needed to regulate her body heat.

Is there an air conditioner vent anywhere near the tub that could be blowing cold air on them when they are swimming?

I used a paint roller tray to introduce my ducklings to swimming. They are able to get in and out pretty easily. Then they graduated to a casserole dish, lol.

It's possibly just a nervous behaviour. I'm sure she isn't cold..

I've had one duckling in each brood I've raised do exactly this.
It's usually a runt, not always though.
Sometimes that particular one likes more cuddles than the rest
