I have no problem wearing shoes in my house but if I were to visit someone's house who didn't like shoes to be worn in it, I would have no problem taking mine off outside the front door.I rent out rooms to tenants. I'm Japanese, and I make it very clear before they move in that outdoor shoes are not to be worn inside the house. If you didn't like that rule, would you move in? If you did move in, would you follow the rule, ignore the rule or sneak around it? I have had two tenants now who seem to think that this is an optional rule, and I'm trying to understand, hence the poll.
