between a banty Hamburg and a Rosecomb?

Fair entries are due and my kids "inherited" a tiny, black Roo with round, white lobe thingies on the sides of his head. He's got a rose comb (bumpy with a spike sticking out the back), is very upright, curvy tail and spritely looking.

I looked at the Feathersite pics of black Hamburgs and Black Rosecombs and I can't tell the difference. Entries are due at 5pm today.

Help?!

I am no expert, but I am reading through a book and this is what I found..Maybe it will help?

A Black Rosecomb will have a black beak, reddish bay eyes, shanks and toes are a pinkish white.

A Black Hamburg will have a black beak and black shanks.

From pictures I have seen, it looks like the rosecombs have very very large white earlobes and the hamburgs have smaller ones. It may be me though. If they are really large, I would lean towards a rosecomb if not I would lean towards a hamburg.Sorry if I am too late

This is a hamburg. Notice the earlobes are a bit smaller?

Thank you, both. The photos were helpful as was the pigeon comparison.

We got the kids' entries in on time. I'm confident that their tiny bird is a Rosecomb cockerel.
