It isn't my intention to tell someone HOW to be... but definitely my intent to share the truth about the law and the aspect considered "humane"... as people cannot change what they don't know about if they are misinformed.
Beyond that, people make their own decision whether we like it or not... and I usually DO quit wasting breath (or finger muscles) once it becomes clear that a poster is going to ignore any information given even if it's good. We all have reasons we do what we do.
OhZark... you are funny!![]()
Besides the preachiness of “educating” others ... it’s the whole “inhumane to relocate” thing that sets off my BS detector...
Do you know survival rates of relocated critters for certain... because you’ve relocated a large sample size of multiple species, in various regions, at various times of the year, and you tracked survival rates?
Or is this something you’ve read on the internet and now repeat in an effort to “educate”?
How did these folks that wrote what you read determine the success of relocating? did they work with a large population in various regions, times of year, etc.?
I’d like to see the data.... I’ve said it before, but the success and survival of a relocated critter likely varies wildly... there are too many variables at play to say that a relocated critter can’t survive, and is therefore inhumane...
Maybe I’ll do my own relocation study this fall

Btw... there’s a bobcat thread right now and that person mentioned relocating... somebody ought to scoot on over there and “educate” them too
