Should ducklings sleep in the dark?

they put chlorine in the water down here - I'm always having to leave their water sit out before they'll drink it if it smells to strongly. They have this stuff at TSC that can help remove it from the water.
Chlorine will dissipate after water sits for 24 hours. You can hurry the process along by adding an airstone and aquarium air pump to churn the water. If water is safe for humans it's safe for your duck.

Thing is, it isn't really safe for humans either... it's causing cancer in our dogs and humans. More kids are being born with defects, too... but I have a filtration system for our drinking (human) water - for the ducks, I do an additive and I will check into what you suggested. @oldhenlikesdogs
It's just the water where I'm currently at though, when I was getting Tomball city water - it was fine.

No, we're not actually washing her with soap. She's just swimming. If she's meant to be swimming in warmish water how do we make it not chlorinated without it going cold?

She's pooping a lot more as well, compared to how much she's eating. Is this normal? Sometimes she also squirts liquid from her nostrils. Do ducklings sleep on their side? Sorry, a lot of questions. I'm being quite a worry wart.

They can do the water out the nose because they drink a lot of water. They do poop a lot. What are you feeding and does she have a good appetite? I don’t think i’ve Ever seen one of my ducklings sleep on it’s side can you post some pics.

We're feeding her soggy toast mixed with special paste cat pellets. I'll send a pic when she's sleeping.
