Should I be concerned please help

GSD is German Shepherd (the "D" is for the formal name of German Shepherd Dog) -- GSP is German Shorthaired Pointier

from topgungsps.com

I am a GSD fan too - this is my current GSD, a 3 year old named Ziva
That GSP looks like my Odie

Oh the stars are amazing alright end even better with out the moon and the is funny I thought Orion was only above my house it is funny how that works out having something like the sky to share with everyone and I really like the name of your GPS   ha, ha ... funny ...... :D

His name is Odie Orion it would have just been Orion if I would have looked at his markings closer he has three small spots on his hip in the shape of Orions Belt.

Oh that must be something I don't think I have ever seen a GSP with anything but the normal markings you have a photo of him ????

How is his temperament around other animals ?????

I have a pup pic of him. Dont want to take a pic of him right now, we have a tick issue and he is liitered with them right now. He is extremly trained so he is very well manored around our animals.

if you look at his back hip you can see the three spots.

He was a cut puppy and I am suppressed the Orion spots came out so well ...

I keep these around for tick control and better then any exterminator and very independent when there is 3 or more of them and always work as a group when in attack mode and would probably eat them right off of your dog ....... Well if they were friends ..........

Are you putting any garlic in his feed or water we did that as teenagers to cut down on the ticks and hog lice that would otherwise infest our dogs during hunting season ....... I cant remember the other spice we used but it was a root that was alright in small dose but when a good amount was added them flees & ticks also the hog lice would still attack but no where as bad and a flee bath but before the critters sit in or our dogs would not put up with all the stinging .......

So how are you treating the ticks as Orion look's like he would make a good house dog sitting around the fireplace in the evening ........

We have been putting apple cider vinager in the water and using diametric earth but its not working to well, havent tried garlic yet. All of our seven dogs are gettin wooped by these dang tics, im about to the point to call a exterminator out but im affraid the poison they use will harm my girls. I also have five pearl keets that I just baught there a little over a week old right now.

Yep them Keets will do their job in about another 6 to 8 weeks alright and next year you should not have such a problem as you are experiencing right now but you need to make your dogs blood taste bad to the ticks .....

I had an exterminator come out to my place several years ago and I lost almost all of my ducks well over 40 the following week and all the wild cottontails no not a good idea .......
