My husband might not express gratitude often but I have proof that he would give his life for me. When we lived in California, we both woke from a deep sleep to an earthquake. The house we lived in was old and not very safe. My hubby immediately put his body over mine so that anything that fell would hurt him and not me.

As far as I am concerned, he can forget to thank me or to clean up after himself. He's a great man who would be willing to let himself suffer hurt to spare me. How much more romantic can you get?
