Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I have 3 BCM's... They are quiet birds, and some of the youngest in my flock. Right now they are still pretty low in the pecking order, but I think that they are becoming more accepted as they get close to laying. Them and the Bantam cochins are currently FREELOADERS! They will be 27 weeks old tomorrow. COME ON GIRLS! I also processed 3 BCM cockerels in Jan... they were very lean birds. Dinner the other day was a BCM.

Happy weekend everyone!

I was changing the paper towels in the turkey brooder this morning. I thought the boys would move, but I ended up covering them. It hit me about half an hour ago that I was doing what my mother always told me to do. I was covering my food because I was not eating it right away.
2.0grams and 2.3grams, with a combined weight of 4.4. By the time DH comes home again (April 16th) they will weigh about 3# each.

I cannot believe these tiny little things are going to be so big!

Woah! And my mother in law was shocked that my babies would be the size of pigeons by the time she sees them at about the same time. I think we need more pics of these guys! Did you end up getting a chick or two to put in with them? I remember you saying that they needed a chaperone lol.
