W4W I know people would take the hens, I have people beating down my door for them. They boys not so much. I don't know anything about this lavender business, mine are black, blue, and splash.

Oops, you didn't have the lavs. My poor old brain ain't what it used to be!

Even pure bred Am roosters might find homes for people who want a double blue shell gene for making olive eggers.

Of course, soup is good too...

I figured I'll give squirt 5 eggs and I'll incubate 7. I'm predicting a 50% hatch rate or less so if I get 5 babies DH never needs to know I got 12 eggs. And that assumes all 12 eggs aren't damaged in shipping!!!

Just tell him you resisted getting the extra large incubator so you could set the 50 eggs you wanted to order. He will be relieved.

I found a great way to give Rump her meds. I got a kernel of corn and stuffed the baby aspirin in it. She ate it right up, so I put drops of Poly vi sol in 3 others and she ate those too. HA!

She has a huge appetite now. She is craving fresh veggies and grated apple. Since she cant use her feet to scratch for the Bungees, she is using her beak instead. She is such a good mom. Out I go for more pictures.

I am hoping that one of the Lavs is a pullet. I can sell the roos. I might keep the Split also. I named it Little Bit. The Golden sexlink is named Nugget. And yes.... they have very full crops in this picture.
