Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

please no one take offense. I don't care if you have pretty feet or not, and all that... I just laughed my butt off when I read it.

I'm laughing extra hard because I have socks on with my slides! Who does that?!

Just came in from working outside where it is almost 90º yuck and yucky! Took off my tennies and on go the slides.

ONE measly egg today.
Rumples is still the same. I opened the broody pen and coaxed her out. The Bungees needed no coaxing at all. They were all over the free run time.

Rump got several massages from me today and I think that she is beginning to like it. She doesn't try to bite me when she knows that a rub down is coming. The other girls came into the pen while the Bungees were out and they observed and ate treats. Penny is a little too curious for comfort. She will not get my permission to get close. Rump seems to know that I am keeping an eye on the kids. Have a wonderful evening all.... time for some wine!!

well, just like the weatherman promised... it's raining, windy and cold. the flock thought they wanted to go outside anyway - but I convinced them with a big bucket of boiled fish - that being warm and dry with full crops was better. Min Min enjoyed a share of the fish with kitten feed in the broth - she ate and drank all of it. so far so very good with the new litter pans. I believe she couldn't get into the old ones. and that would be a good enough reason to go soil around the house. she has her wonky moments, but all in all, another good day for her.

21 Eggs today. all 3 bantams laid. Esther's egg isn't as speckled as normal, and it hasn't darkened like her LF Aunties. most of the time, it has lots of dark speckles, she must have shot it out fast today! Sillie Soo's egg from yesterday is set aside - it's kind of big and it had blood on it. I am hoping it's a double yolk.

No Mama, it wasn't me putting nose marks on the window! if we play for a while, I'm certain the culprit will return and we can catch him!

How many eggs can a silkie sit on? Squirt was back on the nest today. I told DH I was going to give her some eggs. He's not happy but I think since I can only fit a couple under her I won't be getting too many babies. And I'll try to sell them.

a bantam Silkie? depends. Peach can cover 5 LF eggs, and Esther and Sillie, while almost as big as their Mama, can only cover 3.

I don't know if I have said, but twidget is my daughter's favorite chick who just happened to be a roo. He has a home one a farm lined up and he goes in about 2 weeks.
