She will probably "wean" them at around 5-6 weeks.... Are you wanting to sell them before then?
If I lived in the country with acreage, I would consider keeping him, but.... space is limited here and DH does not like to hear the crowing. I kinda like it myself.Well Done Scrambles! you caught some really nice fish and the quality time outdoors makes it just fine for a 2nd place finish! Sounds like the Mean One is just a dominant roo. one of my originals along with Royce, was Barney. he was awesome, but very very dominant, very aggressive with everyone (except me, as he seemed smitten... brought me pine cones and other little gifts) he was my first casualty by fox. and I think the fox did me a favor. rehoming can help settle their personalities, but a truly dominant roo is simply that and may not make his new family happy. good luck!
Welcome back scrambles!!
I only got 5 today!
Some of the hooligans are getting much redder in the face. I must get their nest boxes set up w fake eggs. Tho with how much they like to be outside I'm pretty sure they'll find an obscure place to lay!!!
Waiting on the last chick to hatch!!
