Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I must have rescued this one before, she didn't even snap when I picked her up, just tucked in and went for the ride

it poured all morning and most of the afternoon, but we had a break for about 2 hours, I couldn't believe how blue the sky was, and seeing clear skies in the direction it was coming in from... I let the flock out. it was kinda perfect, they were fairly easy to lure in when it was darkening again and they were fully tucked in before the next raindrops fell.

My Sweetie is coming up soon, bringing take out Chinese cuisine for a late supper. wish it wasn't raining, I would love to eat outside.

16 Eggs today, although there could be 1 more... I heard the song, but it was torrential. it can wait.

we did have a feast! I'm still full

right now, the only as-guaranteed-as-possible fertile eggs are the Fosters. I did not put Red in with the bantam girls yet. but I need to if I expect to hatch any bantams. Peach was up for some breakfast this morning, so I'll see if she goes back to the nest...

yep... another one. small this time. not much wider than my boot. wasn't happy at all to be moved. speaking of unhappy moves... Mama Peach was sitting on 10 LF unfertile eggs and 1 Silkie egg. so I moved her, and gave her the 6 Foster eggs and the Silkie egg. she was squawking so loud from the roost when I left her, she got the entire flock clucking and crowing. she'll settle down. I should have video'd her making that broody growl in the apple coop. oh well. gotta head out to the market. I'm so beat, if I don't go now, I won't go and then I won't have creamer for my coffee in the morning.

I love turtles, but that turtle is so prehistoric looking. Is is a snapping turtle? Yea you better get to the market...if you are like me, gotta have creamer with my coffee.
