well, fostering and adoption are two totally different things withbpeople. With fostering, the child isn't yours, it belongs to someone else...but if you are adopting, it's your kid. Sorry for derailing the thread, guys.I understand that there are really sic people out there so screening has to be rigorous but I do think they make animal adoptions too difficult. I had a friend refused because she didn't have a fence. Didn't matter that her husband would be home all day and was a runner so would exercise the dog...
As for people I'm torn... I don't know enough of the system but I do have friends who are foster parents and the hoops they have to jump thro are ridiculous (can't cut hair wo permission of real mom who is on a crack binge...).
