Haha Mortie I did the same thing yesterday. I unplugged the wrong plug and was wondering why the water was frozen this morning!

Oh and in case it sounds like they were without water for days - they weren't. I think it only froze last night so at worst it was just for this morning until about 2pm. Poor girls. I will admit. I did it. I wanted to quickly get them some water so I went in the house and got a container and filled it up with water...

AND HELD IT UP LIKE A GLITTERING GOLDEN CHALICE FOR THEM TO DRINK FROM.

Yup.

Oh Mortie those girls have the life. Next you'll be cutting up and hand feeding grapes and fanning them w palm fronds to keep them cool in the summer.

Hmm... last year I cut up grapes and hand fed the to Rumples. I don't see anything wrong with that. After all... they do feed me too. LOL....

I just got a really good magazine on bee keeping. It's really amazing. I'd love to have a hive but not sure I have the time. We have a local farmers market that does honey and they rent out space in the area to put hives out. I might look into that cause they do all the work. Then maybe I can learn.

I felt pretty comfortable learning how to do chickens on the internet but bees intimidate me.
