Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

@Scrambles55

I am sorry that you are having health struggles that are affecting doing what you want to do. That can be so discouraging. My poor DH has been getting a lot of headaches the past few weeks. :(

Hugs to all you sickos.

Pb eggs

1C peanut butter
1/4C unsalted butter
1/4C light brown sugar
1 1/4C powdered sugar
2C milk chocolate chips
2Tb Crisco

1)Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.

2) In a saucepan, combine pb, butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Heat until completely melted and bubbling a little. Stir constantly.
3) Remove from heat, and add powdered sugar 1/4 C at a time and stir. Set aside and cool to room temperature.

4) Scoop out pb mixture, and form into desired shape. Plastic eggs can be used. It should slide right out. I use my hands to make a roll, then squish my hands against the ends to make an egg shape.
Refrigerate 30 mins.

5) Melt the chocolate and Crisco in the microwave at 30 second increments. Stir each time.
Dip each egg, using a fork to flip it over and lift it out. Allow extra to drop off, and place on the wax paper. Sprinkle any decorations on at this time. Or, use the end of a paintbrush to write or draw.
Return to the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set. If they make it long enough, store in a closed container in the fridge. You can freeze them too.

There is usually leftover chocolate.

Oh my gosh! My sourdough pancakes were horrible! I sure hope they turn out better next time!
If the sourdough did not develop enough lactic acid to go against the baking soda it will be off in taste.

Did you send of for the start from the friends of Carl?

If not, add baking powder instead of Soda next time, or use buttermilk for the liquid.

you know I have dozens more pics... closeups of the chicks in the car on the ride home... mixed unsexed bantams. few silkie's in there, I noticed at least 2 with 5 toes. I didn't play with them as much as I wanted, I just zipped out and back for the sake of Mama Gossy. she is very content, accepted every one of them instantly, shuffled the eggs about and made room for them. for 5 day old incubator babies, they took to a real Mama so quickly it really was surprising. in 10 minutes, they are all adjusted, napping... and one is popping out from under her wing, it's so cute, I'll have to take more photos!

@Wishing4Wings, Thank you for the Poultry Service Announcement about National Pi Day! I celebrated with giving the girls 2 pies and Hubby and I had quiche.
