Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

good morning! more rain and then some more... hopefully the big tulip festival won't be washed out... I don't think I'll make it up there, not today anyway, what with work taking up a good part of the day and usually wiping me out. but tomorrow could be a possibility...

today I need to pull out and scrub the bell waterer's so the chicks can be released and not drown. whoopee! last year, I had trouble getting the caps off because they vacuum sealed themselves on. this year, I don't have the strength to wrench them. fingers crossed that I was smart enough to put them on loosely when I put them away last Fall...

after taking this, I discovered a sparrow zooming between the chain link walls dividing the pens! wild birds should never be allowed to remain, for lots of good reasons, the best of which is the spread of disease to my flock... it took a few tries before I got it out, without letting out any of the chickens... and that wore out my knee. fingers crossed for free range tomorrow and energy to clean out the nests and kennels!

then at around 7 tonight, it cleared up as beautiful as can be... but I'm pooped out and if I let the flock out, they would only have about 45 minutes of semi safe free range, and I would have a hard time rounding them up... we are supposed to have rain tomorrow too, but hopefully spotty sunshine at least....

What is scary about that thread?

To be honest, I have never posted (but once) in a thread that the owner of the thread didn't invite me to. This is the exception. I was here from the moment Ok posted the thread. I didn't say anything for a while. I was nervous for days afterward that I was going to be told to leave.
If I am in a group of ten, and everyone went to do something else together, I would not follow. I think it is self centered to think I am welcome.
