Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

starting to settle in over here, we had some major drama... Peri managed to sneak out along with her Mama Belle and Chester... through a gaping hole in the fence on the far side of the garage that no one noticed... Chester was doped up and slow, so he was caught immediately, Mama Belle is somewhat crippled and also didn't get far... but Peri. omg. Peri was gone in a heartbeat! however, the story has a happy ending - knowing that she couldn't ever find her way home... I found where the local shelter is (after looking and calling out for a bit), my brother and I went there to report her missing. she was ALREADY THERE!. a young woman had managed to catch her several blocks over. I love good people, this is a no kill shelter...the folks working there were wonderful, told us right away they had her, brought us to her, micro chipped her, and we made a nice donation on top of paying for the services...imagine having to put Wrangler to bed without her Peri... so grateful.
anyway, every day has been long, waiting for plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, fence guys, radon tester, mold remediator (only tiny bit in one room) now we're waiting for delivery of refrigerator, beds and all of Oma's stuff from NM. my Mom and I leave for the Mayo Clinic on Sunday. I'm glad she's coming with me. and believe it or not, squeezed in between all this waiting for repairmen, Wrangler has enjoyed her first real swimming lessons, from me... she's a natural, she didn't believe it, she was a little scared... confidence is everything!

So glad to hear from you. I knew you were busy, but oh my! I'm tired just reading all that! lots of balls in the air. Peri is what my mom would call a little Dickens! So glad you got her back quick. And Wrangler swimming is great! Am watching the Olympic swimming events right now. Maybe Wrangler will get into competition some day.

We are going to Zion National Park on Wed for a few days, so I might not be on much. Just want to wish you the best of luck at Mayo Clinic. Having your mom there will be a comfort. I don't envy you all the poking and prodding, but sure hope they come up with something useful to help your condition. Will be thinking of you. hugs

Oma and Wrangler have gone to Denver for the night, they leave in the morning with my brother for NM to start the big move over there... the craziness never ends... so I'm here with the dogs and cats until they return on Saturday, then my Mom and I leave on Sunday midday for Mayo. Oma's moving truck won't get here until Tuesday, so in the meantime, I am putting as much stuff in the room it belongs in as possible and putting stuff away where I can... she has the furniture, so... not much to sit on, but I do have bookshelves and cabinets to stash stuff and the bathrooms have been pretty easy to set up.
she'll have to take over when I'm gone and then the big push to finish setting up and settling in when I get back at the end of the week. Tomorrow is busy... trash day, fridge guys are returning to hook up the water, they had the wrong coupler... fence guys are coming to do the repairs, I have to get a hold of a company for radon remediation in the lower lever so we can use it as a movie room, that's not too bad... but the best part of the day is the delivery of the washer and dryer and my bed! plus a bed for the guest room, Wrangler's double cover for her yogibo will be here soon, she has one, I have one... the double cover will make one giant one... her yogibo and Oma's bed are coming on the Tuesday truck... we've been sleeping on air matresses and my yogibo since last week.
the dogs are barking up a storm, guess I will get off my but and let them out, check it out...

I am glad that you are starting to get settled. I hope that things turn out well at the Mayo Clinic! :hugs
I know there is still so much to do, but just remember to take your time. This was a fast move!

Duckling has outgrown the baby blankets I was using, so I finally bought her two cheap bed sets. She chose this one for tonight.
After the raccoon attack a week or so ago, I have been doing a lot of work on the run. It has been slow going due to having her around, and trying to get up the stamina to do it. After trying to get her to help me last week, I realized that she needed her own work gloves. I didn't think she'd wear them until she put mine on, and wore my safety goggles all over the place.
