Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

she may use the fenced in sections and coops for her dogs. who knows. maybe she'll get chickens. it's all soft earth in both pens. the Dome could be turned into a fantastic garden... the Back pen can be dismantled and moved if necessary, but I think all she plans on doing is expanding the fencing. the back garage is large enough to hold her 4 horses until she gets around to building a barn...

and a great big thank you to Sumi for my badge!

Sumi is awesome!
Sounds like a perfect fit for her, but is the porch big enough for the bull?

So much easier to leave your old home knowing how much the new owner loves it!

what the heck happened to those poor babies???

Raccoon(s) as far as I can tell. All these years, and I have never had this happen. I will fix the door that they destroyed, and make sure that everyone sleeps inside.
Here is the deal: SPR cocks sleep on the pop door. Poult sleeps on the roof. She is easy to catch, so I do not understand why she was not taken. No one inside was injured. Two girls were laying first thing.
I do not know how two were torn apart, and two do not have marks.
I do not know why they were in two separate areas about 8 feet apart.
I do not know why one of the girls was sleeping outside. But I do not think that she was inside. The teens all sleep in the very back of the coop. All of the ducks are in the front.
Did the roosters or ducks go out to scare away the raccoon(s)?

I've never had a racoon get through my coops or runs yet

but know from the past that they can be extremely destructive. They will literally pull a chicken through a fence, piece by piece. We had a one winged pullet when I was a kid. I also know racoons are ferocious, especially if they have babies, and will fight to the death. I doubt that a duck or a rooster would scare them off unless they have eaten and are already thinking of leaving. Chickens, on the other hand, don't see well in the dark and spazz out when scared. Wondering if the untouched ones may have ran themselves into the fence and broke their necks trying to get away.

Really don't know, but what a horrible thing to find in the morning.

Me too! It's beautiful. It's HUGE! Plenty of room for for everyone! ...and for visitors.

I love the sun room (covered porch) and the basement too. 2 best things for me would be the hard flooring throughout... makes is so easy to clean and throw rugs will make it cozy. And the bedrooms have overhead lights. It's so annoying to me when houses don't have installed overhead lighting in the bedrooms... like my house.

Oh, and all the fireplaces too, satisfies my survival/prepper instincts. Congratulations!!

yeah, it is narrow, but we're not kitchen dwellers... we cook in there, that's it, I know folks who hang in their kitchen... and I do have a cute slender kitchen table that will fit inside... but really, we eat while watching a movie or whatever... I can't wait to see it, I will attend the closing, then my folks will take Wrangler and myself up for a tour. it may be bigger than it appears, but who cares right? the sun room is insane! and I guess with the limit of photos on Zillow, not all the rooms are included...

thanks W4W! that's just how I feel too! hardwood floors, fireplaces, overhead lights and room for company!!!! hope you can visit someday soon! same goes for Scrambles, MC and all my friends here!

eta, only that one garret room with the hexagonal window has carpet.
