Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

FB is funny, what you see all depends on privacy settings and in order to actually join a group, like the foster dog thing... to see their posts, you have to have an acct. yes, people have been looking for you, of that you can be sure. you will get friend requests from the most obscure people... it is a good way to keep current with a lot of stuff and the chicken pages are numerous. lots of local pages for swaps and stuff... not that different than byc.. who also has an official facebook page. I like FB, and I like the Google Communities, there's millions of communities out there on all topics.

tonight I have to head out to meet the lady who sold me Wrangler's bed. she has some girls winter coats that will fit her, and I have some totes with locking lids that I used for my move that she will take in swap. she's moving...they'll come in handy. then take a ride to look at a bumper pool table. I'd rather have ping pong... but seriously, on the lower level, there's room for both and an air hockey table...

Awesome to have room for all those game tables. Great for when it's too cold outside. Wrangler is going to be very popular!!

One of the other cross country moms recently opened a fb account just to keep up with the team page. She gave me her accnt and password so I can look too! I promised not to use it for anything else.

ahh the weekend! my folks came up yesterday, we had a lovely visit and a big dinner, then Wrangler announced that she would love to go to Denver for the rest of the weekend and she didn't need me or her Oma to go with her! how brave! she had a great time last night, playing on my Dad's rowing machine - Crew Team here she comes!! - and didn't even fuss later in the evening. my Dad is off to play golf and when he left, she was still sleeping deeply.
we'll head down in about a half hour. spend the day, supposed to be sunny and in the mid 80's, I think it was in the upper 40's when I got up this morning! brrr!

It is great to hear about how well you are doing in the new place. Makes me want the next 4 years to go faster so the I can move to someplace like Idaho from California.

We are moving back up towards 100 this weekend. It should be our last heat wave of the year. I am really looking forward to some Fall weather!

Two more chickens bit the dust. Nugget was suffering from internal laying and Penny had cancer. We found a mass of nodules in her. So, I have 4 15 week old pullets and 4 older hens. One of the EE pullets is getting red in the comb, but I doubt that she will lay anytime soon. Oh well..... Hi Cheeka, MC, W4W and others!!
Just got back from Cali. Whew.... what a zoo.

Spent most of yesterday driving the coast highway north to a cross country meet. It was supposed to be 70° and sunny. It was not. Foggy and 55, with a wet wind blowing the whole time. 5 hours of driving for a 2 hour event! The 4 runners in my car slept both ways. Wish I could have!
