Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Spent most of yesterday driving the coast highway north to a cross country meet. It was supposed to be 70° and sunny. It was not. Foggy and 55, with a wet wind blowing the whole time. 5 hours of driving for a 2 hour event! The 4 runners in my car slept both ways. Wish I could have!

It takes some explaining for some parts of the country to understand this. Northern California is broken up into sports by size. In order to get to other schools in your League, you often have to travel for hours to get there because California is a long narrow State--with two mountain ranges and a valley in the middle(ok, two or is it three valleys?)

When I was in High School and on the Wrestling team, we traveled from Red Bluff to some place in the Sierras. It was a 4 or 5 hour trip and then we had to go home in the evening. We got home very late.

Haha... yes! Northern California is bigger than most other states! This was in Point Arena, near the lighthouse... only accessible by winding hilly roads... very slow driving. There is another meet on Sat, in Half Moon Bay, about the same distance to the south. Think we are skipping that one. Family is visiting.

can't believe it's been two weeks since I sat at the computer! surprisingly, I didn't have much in the way of withdrawal symptoms...lol. my folks went away for a half week and we took care of their pug, then when they came back, I spent the rest of the week with them, mostly helping to clean up and organize their house. I've been offering since I got here and they kept saying no... but this time I just did it. I didn't annoy them or try to clean up their special piles... but I did put a good dent in the stuff that just seemed to get away from them.

as a treat, we went to the Ringling Bros Circus today. it was quite good, although I was a bit disappointed with the clowns. not as high energy as I remember from the old days... back then, the motorcycle cage only had one bike inside, then 2 a few years later... now they have 10. it's insane.

window treatments for the house should be coming within the next week, that will make this place seem more like home. it's still a bit strange here, but I do like it and we are having fun.

I have so many photos to go through... bummer that most of the horse photos are blurry or so grainy because it was dark... I need a new camera, I've pretty much worn this one out.

Hi Cheeka! Glad to hear you are having good times. I figured once you moved, and were no longer living alone, your real life would take precedence over your computer life. Love to hear your updates, though. Those male lions are enormous compared to the others. Massive heads!

i have had chickens for some 45 years never have i seen all of them stop laying only getting 3 eggs from 17 hens, they are not being run by a roos as we only have 1 it has been since the hot weather here in delaware that they stoped laying, we thought when heat broke they would start back up but no they have not. i am going into coop tomorrow and take everthing out clean real good and put all new in, maybe that will help, i do dept layer and have not cleaned real good i go in and rake up then turn it over pick up the big things, but it has been in there since april.

Hi MC. Took these 3 to their new owner today!

Now only one cockerel left to crow in the morning, and he never starts it... the other two always did. If I get to sleep in a bit I will feel like a new person. 5am sure doesn't agree with me.
