If someone give you lemons......make lemonade......If they give you a sheet of plywood.....make smiles.....

Ha!! Silly horses did that. Apparently it made them happy.

Happy birthday AL!!!!!!!!!! Man I remember 15 like it was yesterday. OK so it was a really long time ago, but you know, my memory fades in and out. Hey did y'all hear about.....never mind I forgot.

After days of "we are NOT going outside! Shut the door!!" I decided that 25* was warm enough (no windchill), and kept the door open. 3 hours later I noticed some of the girls outside.

Glad your girls aren't as wimpy as me and got some outside time.

I'm home early, it's sunny, 25*, no wind and the gang has zip interest in "outside"! I carried a few out, just to have them fly back in... 2 eggs early this morning, and BR Betty is in the nest now. it's a housework day, so if i sit too long... I won't get anything done! be back later

BR Betty's egg was the final for the day, so 3 for me, and I sold 3 dozen today! I only ask for $2/dozen, it's about the going rate for fresh eggs, although I've seen a few changes in signage around the area, some folks are asking $3 now. Feed prices have gone up, but I started using Multi Flock, so I can use one feed for everyone, and it hasn't gone up in price since December, but they did change the packaging, the bag is really cheesy now, splits open... I got 2 bags last week, and one ripped when I was carrying it in.

back in November, someone gave me a couple of bags of Porgy (fish) that they had caught in September, and had frozen. well..... it was yucky. when I defrosted it, it smelled, not "bad", but way fishier than it should have. he didn't cut the red meat out and that will make it stronger... but, I decided that it was too much work for what would probably still be too fishy... so I cooked up the whole lot for the cats and the chickens. I gave a small bite to the dog, but she tends to throw up "new and different tastes" so I kept it to a small bite... the chickens loved it! devoured every last flake. there's one more bag of fish in the freezer from the same batch, so it will also go to the pets.

it's me bedtime... dinner time for W4W... lol ! Goodnight!
