Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

The incubators are on sale. And I bet you still have electric outlets just sitting there not being used. It is Spring. They are soooo cute. Everybody will want to buy them. You can sell the eggs. Free range them and the feed bill is nothing. Stop counting. They are called a "flock" for a reason.

LOL you're a chicken pusher!! :D

MC, that's so nice to have company, helpful and interested company to boot! still too much snow here to do any building, so annoying. the last storm drifted snow completely over the apple coop, I was waist deep collecting eggs... it was easier to build snow steps to the dome... just dug out the doorway, the snow is packed a foot deep in front, so it's 2 steps down into the dome.

I want desert now that I've seen that picture like 25 times today. I don't have anything in the house that can compare to that, but I'll make a bowl of popcorn and a cup of cocoa...

I am so glad everyone else is tempted by the brownies.
Why the heck didn't you people tell me I needed a Golden Delicious tree to pollinate my Jonathan Apple tree? Now I have to return the pear, get another apple, and I really don't think they even have Peach. That is okay. I can go in the front of the store, grab another apple in the front of the store, and exchange it with the pear tree in the front of the store!!!!!!! If I go see the chicks, I will have to get some Amber Links (THAT is what they are called!).
I am sorry the other 2 chicks didn't make it. At least with a broody, you don't have to worry about the chick being alone! Especially if you get some chicks from a feed store. Peach should take care of them too!

SEVEN........Today We Laid SEVEN Eggs....7

Blue Isbar chickens? A dozen hatching eggs just sold for $204.00 plus $16.00 shipping on Ebay. Thats over $18.00 per egg. No guarantees on hatch rates. My luck they would all be roosters.

I forgot to mention that when my nephew went into the coop, everyone began screaming, running and flying for their lives! He just walked in. No talking, no rushing. It was so funny to hear the commotion! If I am near, they never say a word. My sister has gone in the coop with them, and 2 sat on her shoulders.

they must be really pretty birds! Straight run scares me too, but my australorps were "pullet only" and I don't think I have a single roo in the batch.
