Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Oh, I forgot we laid 7 chicken eggs 2 goose eggs and 2 duck eggs today!

11!! we laid 11 eggs today

2 shy of perfect!

Just when I was getting perfect days, one of my CMs decides to go broody. If she is still acting like this tomorrow, I'm going to go get some fertile eggs for her, so I don't really mind the broodiness, but STILL. I was finally getting 6 eggs a day!!

Sturgis has discovered a new game. The chicks fly/hop to the top of the basement steps. Sturgis runs to the door (all window) and they fly down the steps. Repeat.

JCH, I would happily give you the GLW roo that I have. If he can make it 9 hours on a motorcycle going 110 MPH. It would only be about five hours of moving. The rest of the time is being pulled over for speeding, then explaining why I have a rooster in my lap. If the cop ever stops laughing, he may let us go without a ticket. I can tell him we were trying to teach the rooster to fly!

Just finished with my weekly clean for the girls...they are pulling up all the worms after last nights storm. I never thought we had so many worms until I spent twenty minutes with the girls digging in the leaves.

Hubby took some pictures...will post them later. I am adopting some chickens from a friend on here who has to give them up, so today we are supposed to go check out her coop and meet her girls.
