Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

that silvery gold girl with the black beard is named Beryl. when I see her, I hum "Silver and Gold" and think of Burl Ives. so Beryl. I have another who looks just like her, but has a white beard. She needs an Eagle type name. Olive is my crazy camera hot normally, but she's injured and tends to hang too near to my feet for good photos, or goes back in the dome for peace and quiet. She's healing nicely, but it will be a couple of months before she's feathered up her crown again. she's cautious around everyone so as not to get pecked. my beardless white, who is also pecked open on the scalp, is healing even faster (it was a less severe injury...) and her name is Yancy.
I have a bright orange with strong individual black markings, named Tiger.
the other browns and orange are Coral, Penny and Topaz...and one left unnamed who has a beautiful fluffy auburn beard. the dark blue laced red is Opal, the light blue laced red that looks like Blu is still unnamed. but I'm getting there... suggestion are welcome! oh yeah, I have a beardless black and white who is so severe looking - like a middle aged, sophisticated Manhatten woman... her name is Morgana... I'll post pics of the named and unnamed soon!

Eggs are hatching a day early!!

8 0f 13 so far, and 1 is a surprise!! I think its a lemon cuckoo orphington!!!! I won 10 he shipped 13, and 2 were awfully light brown.

Oooooo your making me jealous...I want to use the incubator sooooo badly. Last night I couldn't sleep and was looking at salmon fave roles...omg I'm so itching....I'm gunna just do it I think...urghhhhh...what to do what to do....I want babies again. If I call my husband and to him that ...he might just be okay with chicks...his first thought will be children but if I tell him I mean chicks he Might feel enough relief to say "go for it"

Hehe, I will try to snag one of the DDs to take some! One thing I have learned, a few more chickens isn't any more work, and is sure a lot more happiness!

Exactly....but if I hold out until the fair I might get what I REALLY want....and eventually I will have to stop collecting chickens of their pretty eggs....right? Lol

Well I am waiting for a stockpile, but so far every day someone else asks for eggs....I actually bought eggs last week. Lmfao silly right? Eleven chickens and I am out buying eggs...I don't even eat plain eggs (although lately I have been eating eggs Benedict). I had a ton of baking to do and so there I was buying three dozen eggs in store.

I only have tiny eggs, they're piling up fast! my cousin and I ate 18 of them last night, so yummy, but all the large eggs have to go to my customers, they are eager for all they can get after I wouldn't sell any during Mylee's stay.

8 out of 13 is awesome!!! Fingers crossed for 100%! A lemon cuckoo orp would be amazing. What color down do you look for in a lemon cuckoo chick? They all just look like cute fluffies to me.
