Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

19 degrees here. Warming up to around 40 today. Birds and the wood stove are screaming "FEEEED MEEE". The wood stove gets my attention first. Hang on Roger.

Well Merry Christmas to me.... I got to experience the joys of frozen waterers for the first time this morning.
Apparently the heat lamp bulb burnt out sometime in the middle of the night. Which is really a blessing because everyone was fine this morning and I know they now don't need supplemental heat (and it got cold for us last night... (not as cold as OK and Cheeka tho)) . The only reason I had it was because the little ones were only 5 weeks old when I put them out. Thankfully I've been weaning them off it the past week so while I'm sure they were cold they weren't fazed at all.... except to appreciate the water I brought them.

BTW, Yes Jchny she is a buff laced polish.... The only thing I question is the she part of the equation...LOL... Knowing my luck she's a Phil.

Mine don't need heat. Roger blows enough hot air for everybody. Sometimes I forget that benefit of having her around.

Rotunda first thing this morning... she realizes who I am now... and that's probably dangerous for me. looks like she already has a full crop... maybe I should do a head count to make sure she didn't eat one of her comrades. I better not fall over inside her pen ever... I don't think I'd make it out whole.

they were digging into the popcorn while I strung the garland, which they were afraid of until I pinched a Cheerio off and hand fed...

the boys seemed to be taunting the nosy neighbors...

such curiosity!

My guys got left over gravy biscuits eggs tenderloin sausage and bacon.... plus extra scratch......

We also had a visit from the his kids this morning and everyone scattered for half the day. Hubby kept the 12 gauge handy the rest of the e day.

not a Cheerio to be found, just a long empty string... I'm hoping that now that they know what it's all about, i can get a good video on New Years Day

2 Eggs - 1 deep green from Blu and 1 from another 20 month old - Isis' lovely jumbo blue egg!

Well this didn't make any sense. .... stupid phone.

The huskies came back yesterday. They didn't get any of the birds but they really shook them up. Part of them hid til roosting time last night but they were all there when I locked up. Hubby went running out in his house shoes... lol.
