Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Quote: I have my freezer full of venison. We have these doe tags that you either use them or lose them. Does are plentiful but sometimes it does not go as planned. Just don't want it getting too warm if we have harvested deer hanging in the barn. I dread the work but Roger will at least love me more than Santa Claus.

Merry Christmas everyone! it's below zero out here and Mother hasn't come out with our Christmas breakfast or our Cheerio garlands... but she's up... I can smell the coffee - if she's not out here in five minutes, Roger, I need you to call PETA.
I told Mabel to step away from the PC! caught her red handed er um clawed!

Call me ungrateful if you want but next year my Christmas List is going to be much more simple.

1 Dasher
2 Dancer
3 Cupid
4 Comet
5 Donner
6 Vixen
7 Prancer
8 RUDOLPH
in one pound packages frozen except Rudolph save me his head I want to make a light out of it for my coop

Santa RUN! SHE WILL WANT YOU MOUNTED ON THE WALL NEXT!!

Well Merry Christmas to me.... I got to experience the joys of frozen waterers for the first time this morning.
Apparently the heat lamp bulb burnt out sometime in the middle of the night. Which is really a blessing because everyone was fine this morning and I know they now don't need supplemental heat (and it got cold for us last night... (not as cold as OK and Cheeka tho)) . The only reason I had it was because the little ones were only 5 weeks old when I put them out. Thankfully I've been weaning them off it the past week so while I'm sure they were cold they weren't fazed at all.... except to appreciate the water I brought them.

BTW, Yes Jchny she is a buff laced polish.... The only thing I question is the she part of the equation...LOL... Knowing my luck she's a Phil.
Yuk I hate frozen water, its a daily thing here! I love the polish, the roos are just as sweet too! My silver laced hen is my favorite.

LOL whoops love the pics!! The "in your face" was precious!

Lindz Glad the birds are ok. The dogs & owners will eventually get payback. Just hope your babies stay safe.

Last chance venison roundup this Saturday. Need temps below 50 degrees. Roger will be one happy girl if it goes as planned.
Best of luck!
omg, my facebook page is all chickens with occasional pics of the dogs or cats. my family teases me when I post a scenery shot, "where's the chickens" or "omg look! no chickens" and my brother will remind me now and then, to post a pic of the Pug he adores... especially when he has had enough of my "Your Daily Peach..." pictures.

I got 2 pullet Eggs today, and a date tonight...

I had so much fun! we went for a late supper to a place that's a bit far away, but serves almost entirely gluten free food - the few dishes that have gluten can be prepared GF easily - the Chef/owner's wife and daughter have Celiac, so he really knows how to control cross contamination and his food is exquisite - everything is local and fresh. some is quite unusual - he had a steak, I had seared tuna, and got home just after I turned into a pumpkin! have to say... I could really fall hard for this man. I have to keep myself in check... but he gives the greatest hugs, so enveloping, so positive... it won't be easy. we've gone out for a few months now, and I look forward to every moment. we both work so much... both of us at 6+ days, so we don't get to spend lots of time together, but I think that "distance lends enchantment"... and "absence makes the heart grow fonder"... so we'll see how it goes. he thinks my menagerie is great, so that's another plus.

I should be heading to sleep, but to be honest, I'm a bit wound up... maybe I'll string up some Cheerios for next weeks celebration. y'all need to try it, it was a big hit!

I am going to, i think maybe even fruit loops for some color? oughta be cute! I think popcorn balls would be huge fun to watch.
Wonder what would be safe to bind them together with...marshmallow is a lot of sugar. Ohh! maybe fat from my home made broth?

Its the slow n easy relationships that are the most fun! Maybe he sees you for YOU, and I am soo excited for you!!!

It was just the right thing at the right time. 15 years later I have no regrets, and he is still my best friend.
This time was for me tho, not what everyone thought I "should do" and I think that's what made the difference...
and dang.... when I saw him walking up to my sisters camper

And he invited us for BBQ at his moms camper..WOHOOO!
(sorry bein bad

) I had already heard all about him. and had met, fell in love with his precious lil girl in like 10 minutes.

ooh, fruit loops would be a good addition for the color factor! and yes, fat for the binding of popcorn - much better than marshmallows... fat is liquid gold for the flock, especially in winter.

great story of your meeting, planned or not, it was meant to be... as for myself, this man is very special. I think he's quite handsome, I spend a lot of our time just gazing... makes him laugh when he catches me. a genuine, kind laugh with a smile that melts my icy old heart... gives me goosebumps when he reaches across the table to take my hand. so simple, such small things... I enjoy the slow pace, it's not overwhelming, not jumping in too fast. he's been burned, so it's good for him too, to be appreciated for who he is. he's got one grown daughter, very successful, and one who is still in high school. I've known his younger daughter since she was 7, and I just met his older daughter over Thanksgiving. she's lovely... I've known him for almost 8 years now, but neither of us were single, and so... there was nothing there to "spark". he was single first, but very respectful as far as I was concerned. apparently, when he learned that I was single, he wanted to ask me out immediately, didn't want someone else to beat him to it... but he waited, he wanted me to feel ready to date, plus he didn't know if he was "my type" lol...
(I don't have a "type", I just like teeth...
