Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

lucky you Scrambles! a day off is a wonderful thing! also wonderful is having the kind of weather that permits free range! my gang was offered the outdoors and they said NO and closed the door! (it's currently 10 below with windchill.) on the eggs... it takes a while for a pullet to lay regularly, hopefully you will get another blue egg this week, but don't be sad if you don't. it's just nature taking it's time getting up and running!

I had the door open today too because it was sunny and got up to about 19. But the girls said no and stayed inside. So they got lots of treats again today.

I found TEN eggs today!

I opened the door for them today, but after a few hours, no one had gone near the door. I closed it to keep the windchill from bothering them. I guess most of us have that in common. I was actually surprised they stayed in.
Well, here's to hoping for another good egg day tomorrow!

7 Eggs total for today, and I still need to take pics of the peewee eggs... they've got to be bantam pullet eggs. simply got to be. on comparing them to the "known" Cochin egg...
