Hi luv, welcome!

my BR Wilma is so jealous of the dog, it's gotten better over the last month, but wow, would she stalk the dog and peck at her tail if she felt that the dog was getting more attention than her!   I want WR's someday, and not hatchery knock-offs...

I bought from the local feed store. When I realized they both were Roos. I gave them away. One weighted 23lbs the other 20lbs. I don't think that was normal for chickens. Lol. But they went to a good home

SIX.....Today We Laid SIX..........and Welcome Luvmychicken. You got any PIE I could borrow?

OK, I have to ask Roger, just how does one "borrow" a pie? Borrowing implies the item will be returned at a later date. Although, I suppose Roger would be able to return the pie, just in a different form.

Hmmmm.... wonder if luv needs more chicken compost?

Hey, was that chicken-carrying bigfoot wearing muck boots?

I wish I could upload pics, from the Nikon too...will eventually figure it out. He is bigger but still the same goofy guy. Yes they are outside from dawn to dusk...sometimes i have to pen up the more agressive stags, i have to limit my numbers soon. Its extra work...wish they could be roaming around.sometimes the hens take a nap in the coop...i think they are playing online games with roger. I've looked at alot of different breeds, but really can't say I'd want to switch to anything else. You can always mix the cic start in with the other feed if you buy too much....any thoughts on what?? I've just change my system a bit, my inner buckets fit right in a little blue cooler, I can keep that in the poarch, and add hot water to it to keep the temp up there longer. Can hang the bucket to drain while I'm making my coffee. Keeping all the feed inside an extra large cooler. Makes it easy to have it all right there.

True, could just feed it out. 50 pounds seems like way too much, but it is way cheaper per pound buying that size ($17). the 20lb is 13 bucks. The protein would probably be a good boost anyways. I have all my buckets in the laundry room, by the furnace. right next to the back door so its handy.. but i really need to get that office trailer here and set up. Ok, i got to rant, here i go

....My dad is such a terrible hoarder, i am always throwing stuff out. Example, how many of the little plastic grocery bags do you save? I keep some stuffed in an upside down jug and refill it every so often, thats it. welll... Out in the barn the other day, i am scrounging around for some scrap lumber. ran across several large garbage bags stuffed full, you guessed it.....

So, I ask him. He just laughed. He said he may need em someday. UGH.
