Actually that was from my #2son. (I think he posted here once.) He's 11 and likes to cook. Fate saddled him with the wrong mommy. I'm glad you haven't given up. If I tried something like that, the loaf would be flat and blackened. The cooking gods do not smile upon me, but the parking gods do, as I can usually find great parking spots, even when it's crowded in front of the bakery! You husband is right. The box lied.
I still haven't tried the FF. Guess I'm a bit resistant because it's kind of like having to cook for the animals.I am sorry about your bread, OK. I am the GD of a baker, so I am perfect.Not!![]()
My new FF system is awesome! I had some wicked fermenting goin' on with the chicken feed, and the dog food was finally fermented on day 2. I changed the system for him too.
Penny and Baby are laying me some eggs. Baby on the floor (we are being patient. The others did it too) and Penny in her box. I will leave eggs in the nests for a few days. See id Baby notices. I am hoping Coffee is next. She looks like she should be.

We built the perfect sized nest boxes, the precise height off the floor, all safe and cozy and private. Laying paradise. When Matilda went broody and hogged a nest box, I put a cardboard box on the floor to alleviate the long wait in line for the remaining nests; you know, just in case. So now half of them prefer that cardboard box I stuck down below! Crazy chickens.
