Well, they're the biggest small cat I've ever seen! I knew that mtn lions don't really roar, but didn't know that lions and tigers cannot purr. Kind of makes them less catlike, doesn't it?I am sure I wouldn't appreciate one as much if they were wild lmao. But believe it or not, they are classified as a lesser or small cat. Same category as the house cat. Wanna know why?? Huh huh??? Wanna guess?? I'm gunna tell you any how. Lol. They purr. Big or greater cats, lions and tiger (but not bears.....oh my) can roar. But not purr. Lesser cats purr. Mountain loins also hold the.Guinness book world record for the cat with the most names. There are 35 different names I think. Florida panther, cougar, puma just to name some.
