Great to hear from our good friend ACW. Her vast experience and "chicken wisdom" has been missed while she was away. Wishing her a speedy recovery and looking forward to her daily input and guidence when dealing with my special needs chicken roger. If not for ACW Roger might have ended up with some girl name like Beth or Karen or Mary or Lucy. I can't imagine that. Anyway hurry back ACW I need your help and advice when my little hen goes broody in the spring. We might hatch some eggs and see how many little Rogers we can infest the earth with.

Got 6 eggs today and 6 yesterday.

The girls were happy to have some time to go out and raid the garden this afternoon. Still lots of green stuff to eat, but we haven't had any rain since Dec. Not enough, need some more or this summer is going to be too dry. Couple of chances for rain this week, so good for us, but boring for the chickens. Funny how people around here complain when it rains and lament when it doesn't.
