Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Dear Roger

I can hear your distress call. No one should have to endure the pain
you must be going thru. Frozen water in itself is a tragedy. I know going
into the coop for fresh water thats not frozen is out of the question. But
what most likely will be your demise is the treats being 15 minutes late.
I'm sure PETA will be knocking on the door any minute now because
you have never hesitated to call them. I realize the situation is getting
worse by the minute. I can see your flat on your back with your feet in
the air from my window. Thanks for the 15 eggs you have given me in
the year you have been here. I'm sorry I was only able to afford $300.
worth of scratch and $200. worth of layer crumble in the same time
period. I forgive you for pooping in my bathtub and eating the loaf
of bread that was off limits in the kitchen. I hope you survive this crisis
and I will render aid as soon as I finish my coffee. It don't look good for
you as my cup is still half full and the distress calls are getting weaker.
I hope this message reaches you in time and you are able to survive the
next 15 minutes till I can give you the special attention you require
DAD

PS....There is 50 pounds of layer crumble in the feeder I just filled it
last night

Spring is here I think.....everyone is screaming and sqwawking racing around, got to be fifty degrees out. Can't wait for little chicks. Time to get the coop situated too. I'm sure I'll have plenty of feral chickens this year.

I have mixed feelings about spring arriving. We've only had 2 days of rain this year, and the extended patterns don't look good. Through April is supposed to be our rainy season, and I hate having to start watering this time of year. Going to be a dry dry summer.

Of course chicks would be an excellent distraction!

Of course!!

This weighed in at 83g. My previous record was 75g. I am curious about the "stitching" around the one area. Very funny looking. And BIG!!

Woah. That's a biggie. I have read that during formation, the egg can sometimes get cracked and then more shell coating goes over that, but you can see the seam. Or an alien has secreted itself inside and is waiting to ambush your frying pan.
