Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I gave Roger CPR and she snapped right out of it. Corn.....Peas......Raisins......CPR. If you have BR's you need to remember that. Or you could just ignore them

....Silkies....I don't know....from what I've read on the NY thread, they need to be separated from LF, particularly the aggressive birds... and to keep yourself safe from this "alien chicken", it's best to wear your protection!

I sold 2 dozen eggs today. and I saw an old friend at the gas station, he hasn't seen my birds since autumn, but he thinks they're so beautiful... he wants to bring a friend by to see them, just wait til he sees the "wee gang"...! and my girl friend did come up, it wasn't too crappy out, but it wasn't nice, could turn any minute... we weren't sure how long we would want to be outside, so we only let the grown ups out, we hung out in the portable run for a long while, really checking out feather patterns, they are starting to get their lacing, so pretty! while we are expecting a storm, the weather man has gone back and forth every day... first just a light storm, then 6-8", now it's 2-4". whatever it is... it hasn't even started yet. on the last trip out with the pup, it was quiet and very mild.
meanwhile... my friend inadvertently locked my car doors, while my keys were hanging in the ignition, and I have no spare.

I texted my mechanic... he's so good to me. he'll call me in the morning when he's heading up. he'll take eggs for his service. I have tomorrow off, and I have another vehicle... it's that humongous truck in some of my pictures. not as bad on gas as most V-8's... still, I don't want to use it.

my lawn mower dude found another tractor for me. i don't have all the specs, I forgot the brand, it's not a JD, but it's a good name, and has the same engine as the comparable JD. it needs a throttle cable and the blades need sharpening. he has the cable in his stock... it has a 50-something inch mowing deck (54 or 56, can't remember) which is at most 10" wider than my JD... all for $300. I want it... I wouldn't have to keep swapping decks and augers every year. it's a pain... this way, I'd have one for mowin' and one for blowin'...

MC, thermal air really is a circulating air, but it moves in a column, as in "heat rises"

I have to page back... was that your egg with the patchwork? pretty cool... I wonder how many yolks are inside as well... I think the record is 9? google time!

OK ~ Roger was bereft of treats... her meter was dangerously low... I wouldn't dilly dally in the future... eventually CPR and raisins won't suffice, she'll be dining at your table and sleeping on the roost over your headboard... you'll need the wide brimmed tin foil hat to save you!

I found this picture in a random bunch... this is how people look when I am not wearing my glasses. at first, i didn't see anything wrong with it, wondered why it was there, then it hit me...

it gets weirder. when I look at her without my glasses? I see one pair of eyes, and one mouth.

OMG love the photo! That sounds great on the tractor. We are looking for a farm size one since we have friends that all share implements. We can borrow a feed grinder from one of our friends and that would really save some cash. another has a baler. Then there's things our smaller JD can do most of theirs cant/wont fit in smaller spaces. oh, and the 4X4 sure helps in the muddy fields. It will carry the BIG round bales out of the field with no problem.
We finally picked out the electric fence charger for setting up the cow pasture. Found a huge pile of Tpost at another friends house, hubby went over to help work on his truck. He text me, all excited, said theres 60-70 of them, and he offered the whole pile for a buck each

Still have to deal with the annexing, thats monday nite, hopefully it will go well. Once we enclose the back half of the property I will start looking for calves
