Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

ohhhhh JCH! soooo cool!!! so so so cool!

my biggest memory from girl scouts (besides the jamborees...) was learning how to make olive loaf
sickbyc.gif
we never did anything cosmetic that I can remember, but I quit when I was 14. (babysitting pays...)

I am being so lazy. I have so much housework to do, but I have my blinders on so I can sit here on the internet reading about different things you can do with egg shells

Cheeka, if you pick it up, you might feel that it is heavier. You also may lay it down wrong for pipping. And I am pretty sure they are good. They would stink after all that time under her if they were never any good. Natural instinct should have made her stop brooding if there was nothing to hatch.
What website has all these egg ideas? Or are you looking at several sites?
Here is today's collection. 2 pictures to show flash (the Marans egg stands out because it looks darker) and no flash where you can see that it is the same color as my RIR... or are they the Golden Buff's?
By - the- way... Perfect day again for the Biker Chicks!!

Still waiting for my 2 hold outs, Cadbury and Midnight.

And one Marans from the Brat's Angels.

Believe me, I got down into the snow to look!

In this picture with flash, the Marans egg is the light chocolate egg.
In this picture without flash, it is the one with the most shine. Second one from the right, top.

MC, i did hold one briefly, and it did have some weight, she rolled them around to get them back under her, so I don't think I messed them up (at least I hope not!!) and nope, no stink...

there are several websites. I googled crafts with eggshells... got loads of pages, some with just one project, some with several...

And more to come too! This thread is evolving into waiting for eggs and chicks.

We went to the Serama show yesterday, and did not come home empty handed. I was hoping to buy a pair or trio to get Mustacheio started. Unfortunately, only one person, the show's organizer, had any for sale, and they were chicks, the older ones being mostly roosters. So we took a chance and got two tiny little chicks, less than 2 weeks old. Hopefully at least one is a pullet. They are so small, about half the size of regular chicks. I... could... not... resist. Pics later!

On the PA thread I have people working on me to get another dog (a few people have sibling dogs), their OE (they weren't paying attention to the fact that I HAVE OE) Cochins, goats, a mini cow. And now kittens!!! One tried sheep, but I have never looked at a sheep, and said, "Awwwwww!" except for lambs. Then again I said the same thing about chickens! I may be in BIG trouble!!

Haha! Part of me would love to have tons and tons of critters. The other part of me would love to be able to take a vacation or a long weekend without the torturous contortions of arranging critter care. And then I worry while I'm gone.

When the boys are older (driving age at least) then we will have trustworthy, built-in house sitters! Fortunately (?) for now I am constrained by a small amount of land and an overly reasonable husband. I know he really wants that Flemish Giant bunny, but his powers of resistance are far superior to mine!

Some of you lucky folks may need one of these one day (I swiped it from the Random Pictures thread).
