Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Still waiting.

X2

I have a friend who brews beer, my husband tries to hang out on Thursday evenings with him because they all get together to brew beer. It's cute :) they do all the work as a group, everyone shows up with a six pack. They drink what they brought and go home with a six pack they make. Every week they do a different beer. My husband actually has found that he likes that beer more than store bought (I almost fell on the floor when he said that) . It's interesting, they do seasonal favors and different recipes. The friend has a dedicated room for storing the cases of beer as they sit and get ready for drinking. Great group of men show up from what I've heard. I belong to a food swap group and I got a wonderful white wine last month from a local person in exchange for some zucchini bites and eggs. This month I may swap scones and jam. Not sure, I will know by may fifteenth morning since the swap is that evening :)

OK I wish you had a video camera in the coop.

OK, do you hear any peeping from the eggs yet?  that was so exciting for me... I couldn't believe that it could be heard so clearly...  what is it... 17 days for Peach?  I do have it written down...

work was good today, mail was on time and not too heavy... I had a double route to do and was seriously worried about making the truck, but i did great, and am home earlier than expected.  can't stay inside long, the birds are out... but I had to check on OK's hatch... and report 17 eggs already!  might get 18, Miss Yancy is in and out of the nest area...

double routes or huge routes everyday next week... lots of OT, but not much time for anything else, so I have to get organized!  off to start a quick load of laundry, then back outside I go!

Quote: Let me try again. Roger seems very alert this afternoon. She did get up and I was able to get a good look at her eggs. Nothing looks different about them. No holes or cracks. She keeps cocking her head sideways like she hears something. I can't hear anything but my hearing is not perfect. Too many years doing construction work with loud noise. The other (BO broody) seems relaxed and pretty normal. Both of them keep placing wood chips on their own backs with their beaks. Whats that mean? Roger got up to eat scratch and then right back on the nest. Big BO broody let me wait on her. Hand fed her and brought her water so she never had to get off of her nest. Looks like Roger and I will team up tomorrow morning to fight off Golden Comets trying to donate eggs that she does not want now.
