Cheeka, glad you caught the dog.
I collected eggs throughout the day yesterday, and only got 7 total. That is counting the one from Beth. In the past maybe two months, if I collect eggs earlier in the day, the chickens will stop laying! They are (mostly) adults, and didn't have that problem until recently.
I took Beth and Baby away from the chicks this morning. I also got the last LH out of the grow out pen. I left the accidental White Rock in the layer pen. She is only one week shy of going in there anyway. No problems adding the girls in the morning. No one so much as said boo (or cluck) to them.
Now to decide what to do about the other JG going broody.
Two eggs, I guess. Okay, maybe three or four. I have no idea what to do with more chicks, though!!
