Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Oh lindz, she is so darling! it's good she's cautious around the animals, surely, it won't be long before she's catching them by the tail and toting them all over the yard... she really got into the Peek a Boo game with the hen, and it was so cute that the hen was watching her intently right up til the end...

got the panel put in, but handyman had it mostly done when I got home from work... it's on the wrong side of the enclosure... I didn't say anything, because it's really nice how he set it up... it's just the door for the 3rd section is on the back side... no biggie for now, but when the snow flies, it's another 20' path to plow or dig out to get to them.

I have 7 Eggs so far, and BR Betty along with EE Blossom are sitting now, so I'm hoping for at least 9...
I got a pic of my white EE Veronica, you can see tiny wattles coming in alongside of her beard...???... she's the only EE I have with a straight comb

My name is Lindsey and I am addicted to chickens. Lol! I baked a cake of cornbread just for the girls with garlic powder and pepper flakes added... and I may fix one with raisins and BOSS later.... Hubby thinks I am crazy!

I don't have a DH or BH... but I've had people over when I'm constructing pies, and have had to make a second for the humans... without the seeds of course...

so... I shared a pic on fb from Les Farms, of a vintage style wire egg basket, commenting "I want one." My Dad saw my post... and he bought it for me!

thanks lindz, it's not in my budget either... at least not this month or even next... I consider it an early birthday present, but he laughed and said no... it's for now... he's sweet.

it's official, the For Sale sign is on the front lawn. 5 Eggs on this dreary chilly no free range day

Hi guys, just finished reading to catch up, but not going to even try to reply. Been a terrible few days, youngest DD was in a bad car wreck wednesday.
Thankfully only a few bruises, otherwise is ok! It was less than a half mile from our house so DH ran up there, she called him right away.

Thank goodness she wasn't hurt badly. That's enough to give ya gray hair, if it doesn't cause heart failure first. My older boy just turned 15. He's not interested in driving just yet. Don't think I'm going to push him. Take care, Janet. Big deep breaths.

I was sure she was hurt. Just a bruise from her seat belt! She is really sore in her shoulders and just kind of all over. Made her soak in the tub.
Told her keep it up a few more days.
Her real "mom" The "X" bought it as her graduation present new.
She has had it 3 years. She is just so heart broken. Her "real mom" was sure to mention if its totaled she has to pay the difference?
GRRRRRR I am NOT done yet! Am beside myself my poor kid. She really didn't need to hear any of that right now.
Thats what insurance is for and really, all that matters is our lil girl is ok!
