Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Bimeda Tetroxy Hca Soluble Powder 280 Gm - Southern States ...
Tetroxy HCA Soluble Powder is a specially formulated antibiotic for use on chickens, turkeys and pig. Apply directly to your livestock's drinking water.

this is more what you need, easier for dosing instructions if you can't find Denogard. the stuff you're looking at is difficult to dose properly as it calls for animals weighing hundreds of pounds mixed into 100 gallons of water

Southern States is where I went today...? Wonder why they said they didn't have it? Ugh... I guess I will be going back out tomorrow, although she didn't seem as rattly today.

maybe it was just in a spot that wasn't so easy to spot? I had to really search for denogard, the clerk had no clue and pointed me to the cattle remedy too... it's far to difficult for me to calculate the dosing on my fingers... I stink at math

it was easier to keep searching the shelves on my own for the product specifically designed for poultry. I have since found it at the Prattsville store, which is very organized and the staff is amazing. they know everything about what they have, they know how to use it... and most have used it on their own animals. I trust that store the most now. wish it was a bit more local, it'd be my "hangout"

Lindz, pm me your address and I can send you some Denagard liquid. Dosage is 16cc per gallon of water for 3-5 days. Fresh every day, no other water source, and I would treat everyone. I got mine online from QC Supply.

Sometimes the feed store people don't know what you're asking for if they think it's for chickens. (Sometimes they just don't know!

) Denagard is only labeled for swine in the US. None of my local feed stores carry it. Not a lot of pigs around here.

My choices are Southern States or Tractor Supply. They carry a lot of cattle and equine stuff but not so much on the other. I think maybe because there are commercial chicken houses around here so not as many back yard birds. Oh well.

I will try to get some pictures today maybe. I am debating in finding new homes for the 2 wyandottes... they haven't settled into the flock very well. I will probably give them a few more weeks before I make a final decision.

wonderful pics lindz!

6 Eggs today and a fairly short free range time this afternoon - it was so windy that I was getting a headache from my wind blown achy ears. I only made it about an hour before I was ready to get them all back in. I should have dug out my earmuffs. they enjoyed it, and didn't seem to mind the early round up call. Peach laid, still waiting on the Cochins, found a poop in their nest. at least someone was sitting in it... my luck, it was one of the boys.

I got one egg today. Everyone enjoyed themselves today since it was warm, and sunny! The girls made it their personal goal to see how many of them could fit into the same hole to take a dust bath! Can you figure out how many are in there?
