Sorry I haven't been on much guys! Been busy this weekend working on the new run for the chickens! We got it all finished except for one corner, and filling in some gaps ect... Clarabelle and the babies have been out a couple of times in the past few days, and we actually let them loose into the coop with everyone else for the first time tonight. I am going to let everyone out at daylight in the morning, so they don't have a chance to bother them.

I have BIG news!!!!!!!

got to see those eggs on fb last night lindz, you've been cranking out the work as well as your girls are cranking out those beauties!

I had a much better day today - work was way longer than it should have been, my car was so overloaded, I couldn't see out the back window for the first 3 hours...and I had to leave 7 huge parcels behind... but I finally got home around 4, boys went in easily for the most part, had to catch Carl and carry him home... I found someone to process him, job to be done next week. the girls got to spend about an hour outside, and I got 4 Eggs.

Ugh i give up. My girls are all moulting and its miserable cold and rainy here.
Taking Dad for a second opinion tomorrow on the valve replacement.
Reducing my flock tremendously until we know what Dad needs to have done.

Carl must be flexing his manhood... he doesn't ever want to return to the pen. well... at dark he does... a couple of days ago, he gave me such a hard time that I decided to leave him to the elements. Guilt got me. at dark, I finally got him. I was lucky yesterday. he knows that I can trap him if he goes inside the dome, so he would NOT go in. I finally got him to go inside Peach's pen. He won't fall for that again... I probably shouldn't let him ut anymore... not sure when then the guy will be able to get up here, he hunts... it's the middle of the rut... and frankly, I would rather eat him myself than let a predator take care of him for me.
