We hosted a visitor from Hong Kong at dinner tonight. (Work associate of my hubby's.) This is his first trip to the US, and he is enjoying every bit of it. Fed him good old spaghetti, sourdough bread, and fresh dungeness crab. He loved it, and it's fun to see his reaction to things that are so familiar to us. The thing he loved the best was petting the cat! Space is at a premium in HK, and it is very hard for most people to keep pets, even though he would love to have one, especially a dog. He saw the eggs out on the counter and took pictures because he's never seen eggs as small as the Serama's. They look teeny tiny next to the monstro Leghorn eggs. We'll have him over again so he can see the chickens and our neighborhood. It was dark by the time they got here. So much space! So big! (And our house is very modest!) Most families in HK squeeze into a fraction of the size of an American home.
2 eggs and 1 egglet today.
