Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Tight wad won't even give us a tomato.
Sorry Roger. Tomatoes won't grow in 4" of snow. How was the macaroni, clam chowder, and bread mixed with scratch you just had for breakfast?
I didn't get any. The other heifers hogged it up.
OH....OK.....So you was just stirring it with your head then. I see
Oh Roger, you poor bereft thing... you must be half frozen with hunger! I'd send a care package just for you but Mylee broke the box that had your address on it... tell Dad you need to use the computer to send me a quick message...

we got snow here too... another fresh 4" today - work was crazy, the mail was almost double the normal volume and the roads were terrible! I was nearly finished with my route when I saw the first sign of a plow - and it took me exactly double the normal drive time. only one hill that I couldn't make it all the way up. I was so thankful to get home safe and sound! I have a big snack of Ramen noodles ready to bring out to the flock - they had a huge breakfast today too - leftover mahi mahi, snap peas, big load of rice and the last of the crazy awesome potato leek soup that didn't get eaten or put in the freezer. mixed it all together with some crumble, BOSS and millet... they went nuts! if you lived here Roger, you would have gotten your own quart container strapped to the wall! (just like I did with Peachy when she was a bitty thing at the bottom of the order) [my how things have changed]

I'm stringing up cereal garlands for tomorrow... it will not be nice out, so I need to break the boredom with lots of fresh straw laced with BOSS, kick toys with millet and the garlands - that ought to do it... I need to make a big fuss over them...

Awesome! We had -0- today. I have to check the quail yet, but they are in the garage.
single digit and negative temps next week, again, UGH.
I swear I have the worst case of cabin fever!
We are going to make buckeyes later, still have the extra plates full of balls left from Christmas.

I didn't get any really good pictures today. I got back around 2ish, and let them meet each other through the cage. Since 1/2 my flock came from her, and she has had pretty much a closed flock, I decided not to bother with separating them for a month since I really don't have the space anyway....

It didn't go so well on the rooster front, so I ended up putting Rogue in the little coop with a couple of the younger boys and I put Clyde in the dog crate in the big coop. The good thing is that they only have to stay up for a week, and that will give me a few days to "fatten them up"! I picked out which of the Marans boys gets pardoned from freezer camp. I picked the one with the least amount of red leakage on his wings and breast.
I also noticed that one of the other marans boys has yellow feet! They are supposed to be slate colored.

Clyde got bloody, but wouldn't back down! He was on the ground more times than I could count and kept getting up for more... I decided that I needed to step in before he got his fool self killed! He is in the coop with the new roo, but separated in the dog crate.... I doctored him up with some Nustock!

The Marans boys!
