Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I am so excited!!!! I just got in 18 frizzled Americana hatching eggs!!!! Squee!!!

I actually like the cream colored egg. It is the only one that I get... all my others are blue/green or brown....

Well in that case....

on the cream egg!! I would really love an Olive Egger and a dark brown egg layer. That would top off the colors for me, but... that might have to wait a few years. When I retire.... Look out!!

yes my chickens love it under our coop, which is an old camper. summer time they go under because the ground is cool under there and is dry

The same here. It is cool and dry under the toy hauler and it is protection from rain, snow and feathered predators.

ONE egg so far today. Thank you Penny!! I am hoping for 3 more, but I think that only Si is due to lay. I have a feeling that Rumples is going to be the Diva of the group and only grant me with one egg every 2 weeks just like some other hen we all know....... and love..... ROGER

I have 4 olive egger babies. I don't even care about the color of the egg cause they are just so stinkin adorable. I'm excited to see how they feather out. I think they're going to be beautiful birds (right now they're in the ugly stage).

I am trying to talk the hubby into letting me get some chicks... it isn't going well...

My mom's boyfriend brought a couple of guns this morning so we could shoot. He brought a .22 rifle and a .45 pistol. I was actually a pretty good shot, which makes me feel better. At least I know that if I have to do something about the huskies I can.
