Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I think esp as women we are so critical of ourselves... I tried to find a pic of me to post but I can't find any... Most are of me w a cat lying on my head. I'll keep looking!!
Very cute avatar! But that's no cat lying on your head.

I have a white with black and brown roos, he is so bad, my daughter came over and went to the coop to get the eggs, he went at her legs like she was a bad thing after them, I went and walked in he did nothing, she came in behind me and he went after her, she can not go in the yard. I am the only one he don't go after.
I actually wouldn't mess with that. My chickens know my husband, but don't interact with him. If anyone else goes into the coop alone, the gang goes insane with fear. If I walk in with someone, the chickens will go so far as to fly up to the person's shoulder.
I know your issue is not just fear, but a rooster actually protecting his flock. Replace him if you can, but I would be torn. I would try having your DD give the flock treats while sitting and/or football therapy. Either carrying him or kicking him.
I hope I am making sense. I see the problem. I do.

There are two RIR, two Dominiques, two Black sex link, and I believe five Amber sex link hens and one Amber sex link roo.
You need more chickens.

I just read through your sig and realized you are a Pet Person! I had rats at one time. Very friendly little critters. One was more like a dog and would come when you called her. I watched her being born (she had a white spot on her belly) and adopted her and and a sister. The sister died at about 2½ yrs, but Teasel was over 4 when she died in my hands. Since I had kids (the ultimate pets

) I have had to cut back on indoor critters. The chickens have been a great addition for us (outside, yay!). Everybody loves them.
