Give her a few CLindz...Uh ohhhh nugget is sitting on a nest and is being mean! Hoping she isn't going broody too!!! I can't take more than one trial run this first time!!! Hopefully she's just laying an egg!!!
That's a good looking bird! He'll be more impressive next year. Your Delawares are very nice too.
pancake flat, glazed broody stare, little bald head... she's still in the same spot, but she had no bantam eggs - just 2 yolk covered blue eggs, which I took. not sure if the broken egg was hers, but I refilled the oyster shell and offered her some, she didn't take any. I'll give her some marked eggs tomorrow.
now this one ate several handfuls of feed - mostly picked through it for the corn, so I tried to pick up mostly corn from her dish. and she drank twice when offered water. I left her kennel door open when everyone else was out free ranging - and the pen door was closed for her privacy... but I don't think she got up. I say that because there is not a single poop in her cab, nor did I find a jumbo poop anywhere outside of it.

It is some kind of disease, isn't it, trying to limit the fowl. Akin to potato chips and chocolate. Hard to stop!Alright i'm done. Pictures are not that good. But just a warning to you people just starting out. I had a plan. My limit was SIX. All hens and a rock solid NO to having a rooster. I just showed you pictures of 10 of them. One of them I think is a rooster. Tomorrow if I get home in time I will get pictures of the other 8.
