"old timers" where are you???? (MC, OK, W4W....)

TMI, but my husband left me just over a week ago. He took off in the middle of the night. IDK why, and after a few days of texting me that he was too mad, and didn't want to talk to me, I have heard nothing since last Monday. A friend of his knows what is going on, and lets me know where my husband is, but doesn't tell my husband he has spoken to me. The friends says that my husband mentioned coming home soon (maybe next weekend. Maybe soon after)and going for a motorcycle ride with me. So, I don't know if my husband is lying to his friend (likely) or what.
Anyway, being on here has not been a priority.

The pictures make them all look small. If you don't have turkeys, you don't know that they walk around and often stand hunched over. The BBW are tall enough that they need a higher run roof. They are okay under the tarp. but in the run, they can't stand completely up. The Bourbon Reds are actually taller than the roost. Their backs have been higher than the roost for 2-3 weeks.
I can guess the BBW to be about 40 and 25 pounds.
I checked for eggs at quarter after five, and all of them were gone, with a girl in a box. Since I know that a chicken can pick up an egg to move it, I am guessing that she did. No sign of broken eggs in the other 2 locations. I will look again in a little while. I had several broodies last year. IDK why I haven't yet this year.

MV it is great to hear from you but I am shocked and saddened to hear about your domestic situation :(. I do hope that you get some answers soon, it is terrible that you have to be in this place where you don't really know what his deal is :(

The turkeys look great. I can't believe how big they are!

Hang in there girl, we've missed you!

Hugs MC!! Yes, I called you an old timer!!!! But no reference to being old at all!!! What's funny is I read through this string all at once when it was at least a year into it and I developed pic in my head of you all!! I remember thinking Cheeka must be an "older" adult because of all the experiences and advice she had!!!! I was shocked when I saw a pic and realized that while she was a grandmother she was a YOUNG grandmother. I tended to think the same thing of you, OK, Jchny because you all seemed so wise (I tend to associate wise, knowledge, etc... With age for some reason).

Heck you all could be younger than me!!!!

I'm 37 and having a huge issue w getting old. I think it's cause I have no kids so I feel pretty footloose and fancy free.... I can nap and sleep late just like a teenager!!! Lol!!!

So sorry to hear the news about the husband. Relationships suck!!! But love is awesome!!!

Wow those turkeys are big!!!!

When I read the whole thread, I envisioned Cheeka, MC, and OK to all be....mid-late 30's? A little older than me but not by much. I pictured ACW at a little older...seemed like she always had a lot of sage advice (and recipes!).

I am 34 and I do have kids but I still manage to sleep late and do what I want. They're finally to the the ages where I don't have to constantly supervise them and they don't get up at the crack of dawn!

Speaking of the crack of dawn, who is ready for the evening report! (I am quite determined to make you all as crazy as I am)

No squatting.
No eggs.

I think they did disturb the nest area. There seems to be a bit of a depression in there.

The most interesting thing is that there has been a blue plastic egg in the run for months. It was behind the waterer and no one paid a lick of attention to it. Today I found half of it in a small depression in the corner of the run.

Innnnteresting.

Speaking if the crack of dawn guess who wakes up at the crack of dawn?

400

To deal w him before work I'm up at 5am w him. So now he gets up at 5 am every day... Even days when I get to work from home... And weekends!

Needless to say I'm a cranky beast!
