Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Gossamer's babies!!! she still has one egg... her chipmunk chick has a darker pattern, and the 2 browns look different from Peachy's brown... they look like typical EE's... I love them!!!

I think it's so adorable how the moms are hatching and raising together!!!!

I just got home - shoo', long day! but awesome! did a double, then shot home to take care of everyone and spend some time outdoors, about 2 hours... then I packed up a bunch of eggs, delivered them all over the place and ended at my friends who were having a barbecue. it was AWESOME! I didn't want to leave... but knowing I have work tomorrow and potentially another double route... it was best.

when I got home, I went straight to the broody's. Peach horded all the chicks. Gossamer only had her one little egg. so I took 3 chicks and tucked them under her. fair is fair. she sat all that time... Peach is sweet to Gossamer and all... but she can't have all the babies.

Just thought I would share a quick photo of one detail of my friends garage. yes. garage. the whole place is incredible... every detail. there's no "junk". my place is such a mess.

This garage holds an enormous gleaming John Deere tractor, his huge pickup truck, her car... then the other side has a full kitchen. wood stove, gas grill and range. well... here's one of the cooking areas... I didn't photograph the whole place, but you can see the nose of the tractor in the second one. and that's Manfred in his party hat.

anyway, the heat broke, 13 Eggs today, it should pick up as long as the temps stay like this.
