Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

When it rains it pours huh cheeka? Keep an eye out for roger while you're doing your route!

NO eggs this morning, but someone definitely spent some time in the nest box. One of the compartments was rearranged a little and the golf ball was partially covered. I evened the straw back out and set the ball back in top so I can tell if she checks it out again. In 5 days the little beasts will be 18 weeks so it's about time they showed even a tiny shred of interest.

Course...the messing up of the box probably only means someone slept in there...*sigh*

Cheeka,

Don't make yourself sick over work! I think they are taking advantage of you. If you got sick and couldn't work, how would they manage then, with your route to cover too? Tell your supervisor you're not feeling well and let her figure out how to deal with her problem.

So where were we at? WOW....been a long time. Who is "harboring" Roger. Anybody see her lately? Cheeka? ......Mortie you got eggs yet? W4W.......hope your neighborhood is getting rain...... Lindz you catch all of them predators yet?

Now Ok, we both know it is a constant battle... LOL.... I haven't had any more predator losses lately though. :)

Alrighty, who wants to guess when my first egg will arrive? Let's play a little game! To play, copy the list of guesses and add your and repost it, so everyone's including yours is posted in your post. Make sense?

Background info:

6 chickens, 3 true ameracaunas from a breeder, 2 reds that might be RIR crosses or PR crosses...who knows...and one second gen RSL.

Hatched March 15th 2014

Fed all flock, some table scraps almost every day, and they free range several hours a day

Age as of today 17w2d

It's summer here, but hasn't been overly hot. Temps for the next week will be lower than usual, in the 60's.

Signs of imminent laying? Negative, except for someone poking around in the nest box this morning a little teeny bit. No squatting, no singing, nadda. Reds have pelvic bones 2 fingers apart, RSL is only 1. Ameracaunas probably only one, honestly haven't checked because I don't expect them to lay for a while yet.

Okay, enter your guess by copying and pasting the following into your post:

Mortie: July 27th
