mortie, don't open a can of worms. nothing will come of it should be your mantra... and plan to plant something tall, yet shrubby, fast growing... for blocking the neighbors view of your full yard. with stuff like that, the chickens will utilize the plants to bathe under, hide in... and won't be visible 6 at a time.

Aww, Phionex Boy, I read your posts! Did you get an egg yet today?

I still don't have any. I'm sure I'll run down there once every hour to look, when I have a zillion other things I should be doing. I really wish I had a chicken cam in the coop. I imagine Lucy has been going in and out of the coop a lot and I just happened to see her yesterday.

We'll knock me over with a feather, I can't believe it happened! And the good girl laid it in the nest box. It's the one on the right, the other is a fake egg. I'm still too stunned to be excited. It's perfect, clean and with a strong shell. Wow.

Congrats on your perfect egg!!! My girls and turning reddish and getting their cluck on but no egg song yet 16 weeks this coming Monday, I know it's early yet but I could about bust waiting. And only 1 store bought in in the fridge

what kind of birds do you have? Did you see my picture of maggie a few posts ago? THat one has been that red for about a month maybe a little more. Nuthin comin outta her butt except POOP. Hopefully your birds are not related to that one...

I have decided my birds are useless! Same age as Mortie's and Valjean's and they could care less about their job. Maybe we'll have chicken soup tonight...
